Adorable Gift Boxes

Who would have thought that an empty tissue box could look so cute in the center of your table? Add some peppermints, glue and ribbon, and you’ll have a unique centerpiece that will make guests jealous.

Use Primrose Holiday StarlightsGreen and White Peppermint starlights or red and white peppermint starlights. Or mix and match for a more colorful display.

What you’ll need:

Wide silk ribbon
Hot glue gun and glue
Empty tissue boxes
Peppermint Starlights

How to do it:

1. Put your empty tissue box on the table open-side down.

2. Unwrap your mints.

3. Using a hot-glue gun, glue mints in rows to cover the top and sides of the box.

4. Tie a ribbon around the box to make it look like a gift.

5. You can even add gift tags with holiday greetings for an extra personal touch.

6. Group three or more boxes together in the center of the table. You can display some on cake stands to add dimension to your display.

If you want to mix it up even more, you can glue Hershey’s kisses to the boxes, keep them in the wrappers for a pretty display.

Peppermint Cone Forest

Tiny Peppermint candy trees are adorable and tasty, but they’re a little small for centerpieces. Make a small forest of peppermint trees using a cone base.

There are two ways to make this tree and you might want to mix and match depending on the size of the tree you’re trying to make.

What you’ll need:

Foam cones of varying sizes
Glue
Mints
A dish or platform

How to make them:

1. Unwrap your candy

2. Glue candy to the sides of the cone, leaving the bottom blank.

3. Place the cone on the platform for display.

If you have the patience you can use Jelly Beans or Sixlets instead of mints. It takes some extra time but makes a truly impressive display.

For an edible variation, use sugar cones as the base for your trees and stick the candy on using frosting.

Reese’s Trees

Build a Christmas tree out of Reese’s cups. The tutorial at Hersheys.com suggests gluing the cups with white glue or a hot glue gun. But for an edible alternative, use glue dots available at any craft store.

What you’ll need:

Reese’s Peanut butter Cups

A foam cone

Glue dots

Plate at least two inches wider than your cone

How to make it:

1. Put the cone in the center of the plate.

2. Stick Reese’s cups large side down around the diameter of the cone, securing in place with glue dots

3. Add layers until you’ve covered the entire cone.
